Do you need fat bombs?

Fat bombs are an LCHF approved snack that you may or not have heard of yet. A quick Google search will lead you to oodles of recipes and there is probably something there to suit even the fussiest of taste buds.

Fat bombs serve the purpose increasing a person’s fat intake. Remember, fat fills you up and that helps you keep away from picking in the pantry. The human body is a machine and it needs oiling. Good fat is the oil that our machines need.

Early on in the piece, I made some chocolate peanut butter fat bombs and it’s been so long that I can’t remember the ingredients. Except that they have stevia as a sweetener, but the taste of and its after taste is quite overpowering, so I’m not a big fan. I haven’t tried making them with any other sweeteners as I haven’t even eaten a dozen in the months since I made them. So I obviously don’t need them. Due to the high fat content they need to be kept in the fridge or freezer because fat melts at room temperature, so they are not good as a snack to throw into your handbag to tide you over during the day. They need to be eaten within a few minutes of taking them out of the fridge or freezer.If you do make them, keep them small – about the size of a Roses chocolate. If you make them large, you may end up eating more calories than you intended to and I found that too big was simply too much, listen to your tummy & your body.

Only eat when  hungry, which some days will be more than others.
