the huntered housewife

our family life, our way

We have a garage door

on September 3, 2014

Things are moving again on our house construction. Not that it really stopped, it simply means the weather today was an improvement on Mother Nature’s effort yesterday and the workers were able to spend some time on site.

As a result, we now have a garage door! I know our house looks like a house but now it really looks like a house. Of course I have no idea if anything was done inside, however I have booked a walk through with our site supervisor tomorrow, so we will get to see everything close up and I can ask questions that may be in the silly category. And we can see the front door up close and check out the damage and get that issue resolved. I didn’t let on to our site supervisor that we are aware of any damage, I figured we are better off speaking to him face to face. And we are not supposed to know about it because we are not supposed to go inside the construction fence. But as you can see from yesterday’s photos, it’s pretty obvious that the door is marked in some way.

Anyway, this is how spunky our house looks today. The bit above the garage door will be painted in the colour basalt, to match the garage door and the roof.

3. A stray shoe. Surely someone must be aware they lost their shoe? Although, it was Mad Monday yesterday, and the Scone teams won their grand final, so maybe someone didn’t realise they lost their shoe! Although, with only two families living in the street so far, it’s not like people are just wandering around up there. The shoe is on the outside of the construction fence.

I’m hoping to be back with lots of photos after our walk through tomorrow.

As a side note, there is a new subdivision opening up on the road that leads up to our subdivision. Stage One comprises 4 residential blocks. Yes, FOUR. Not 400, but 4. Country living baby, it’s da bomb!
