End of school year celebrations

on December 15, 2012

Gosh, what a busy fortnight we’ve had. Just like every other household who has children finish the school year over these few weeks.

Here are a couple of quick snaps from our recent school related events. I haven’t put the videos up because most of them have been on my personal facebook page. And seriously, how many times do you want to watch my children play the guitar or sing. It’s fine if it’s your own child, but being asked to watch someone else’s child more than once is pushing the friendship. You all know how proud we are of our kids! Just like you are of yours.

I continue to be amazed at the talent of students these days. There was never the opportunity to showcase it so much in my day. Your best friend could be a fabulous singer & you would have no idea. Kids get so many opportunities now to develop & display their talents, be it on stage or behind the scenes. And our schools here are very community minded, with many students volunteering to give up some of their school holidays to participate in community events.

Makes me a very proud old Mumma.

What have your schools done to celebrate the end of year?

Karen.
